World Heritage Day celebrations at Wendy School Junior College

India is one country which is honoured for its rich cultural heritage and art forms all over the world. Many famous personalities have acknowledged India’s role in preserving its heritage with exceptional efforts and emotions. Mark Twain, a famous American writer said:

“India is the cradle of Human race,
The birthplace of speech,
The mother of history,
The grandmother of legends, and
The great grandmother of traditions.
Our most valuable and constructive materials in the history of man is treasured up in India only. “

Paying a humble tribute to the rich cultural heritage of our country, World Heritage Day was celebrated with much anticipation at Wendy School Junior College .

The students were made to prepare a collage.. The collage making activity was done in the class( Class 2 to 5).There was a Quiz Competition for Classes 6 to 8 and Class 9 to 12 had a group activity where the children talked about different monuments, their importance in history, place and specialty of that particular site It was an interesting and enriching activity for the students and teachers alike. The teachers encouraged the students to live and promote Indian Heritage as it’s a symbol of pride and uniqueness for every citizen of the country.

“Our Heritage and ideals – the things which we live by and teach our children are preserved or diminished by how freely we exchange ideas and feelings”

Since 1986, Wendy School has built a very strong sense of identity.  It is the essence of being a ‘Wendy student’ that shapes our pupils    in their academic studies and personal development.
