World Earth Day 2019

Earth Day Celebration 23.04. 2019 (Grades- 2 to 12)

“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better.”

-Albert Einstein

It was yet another memorable day in the history of Wendy School Junior College i.e. 23rd April 2019 when the students of Grades 2 to 12 sensitized the whole school with their catchy paintings of how to save our dear planet the Earth. The zeal and enthusiasm of our Wendyites knew no bounds when showing their prowess and creativity; they participated and celebrated Earth Day with immense gusto. They sensitized other students on the importance of deforestation-how it should be stopped, saving electricity, use of dustbins, importance of flora and fauna . The children were very enthusiastic about the event and participated whole heartedly. This high energy session laid a great impact on the whole school. The whole school was vibrated and mesmerised with their 3-D Paintings.

This programme was organised to give our young students a perspective on what they should do to protect our environment.

Grades 2 -5 showed their concern towards mother Earth by making beautiful paintings. Grade 6-8 made beautiful posters with beautiful slogans and Class 9-12 showed their concern for Mother Earth through their beautiful 3-D paintings.

By celebrating Earth Day today, we hope to give voice to an emerging consciousness, channelling human energy toward environmental issues in bigger ways. The aim of such activities is to make each student realise to be pro active .What are we waiting for? The time is now. Let’s start now. And let’s not stop.

Since 1986, Wendy School has built a very strong sense of identity.  It is the essence of being a ‘Wendy student’ that shapes our pupils    in their academic studies and personal development.
